Description

If you like the traditional Pattern 99 and want something even stiffer and lighter, you’ve found your blade. The Phoenix 99 features the iconic Pattern 99 curve with only one exception--the bottom tooth isn’t tapered and we’ve jacked up the stanchion height. While a tapered bottom tooth can help those seeking a bit of pre-rotation and unwanted drag, this blade targets the pure jumpers in the skating world. As you tap in on your take-offs, you’ll get a deep bite into the ice that will drive any Zamboni driver crazy!

Your skating skills will also benefit from the higher stanchion height to prevent any slip-out from your boots on those deep edges the judges are always looking for. 46% lighter than the traditional Pattern 99, the Phoenix 99’s nano charged matrix formula will help you reach heights you never thought possible. Throw in a stainless steel runner packed with molybdenum and vanadium for good measure and you’ve got the toughest blade on the planet.

Rocker: 8FT,
Size: 8"-11"

** Phoenix 99 features the iconic Pattern 99 curve however the bottom tooth is not tapered and the stanchion height has been raised slightly to provide more boot clearance.

Care

How to Care for Your Ice Skating Apparel & Gear

Proper care helps your skating apparel and equipment last longer, maintain performance, and stay hygienic. Follow these guidelines to keep everything in its best condition:

1. Clothing & Training Apparel

  • Wash on gentle cycle with cold water.

  • Use mild detergent and avoid bleach or fabric softeners (they damage elasticity).

  • Air-dry only — never tumble dry, as heat degrades technical fabrics.

  • Wash separately from items with zippers or Velcro to avoid snags.

  • Turn garments inside out before washing to preserve color and print.

2. Performance Wear (Competition Dresses, Leotards, etc.)

  • Hand wash in cold water.

  • Do not wring or twist the fabric.

  • Lay flat on a clean towel to dry.

  • Avoid contact with perfumes, body oils, and deodorants that may stain delicate fabrics.

3. Skates & Blades

  • Wipe blades immediately after use with a soft dry cloth.

  • Use blade guards when walking off the ice, but remove them after use to avoid moisture buildup.

  • Store blades in terry cloth soakers, not plastic guards.

  • Keep skates in a cool, dry place — avoid car trunks or damp areas.

4. Accessories (Gloves, Guards, Pads)

  • Wash gloves regularly to prevent odors and bacteria.

  • For stretchy or padded accessories, cold water + gentle detergent is recommended.

  • Let accessories fully dry before storing.

5. Storage

  • Never leave items wet or zipped inside a tight bag.

  • Air out clothing and skates after each session.

  • For travel, use breathable skate bags rather than sealed plastic.
